This is a working group of SFDI which will meet and discuss on manufacturing activity related aspects, what is happening within it and propose promotional activities for the members from manufacturing sector.

​The vision of the council are as follows

  • Provide a platform for manufacturing leaders from India to learn from the best practices followed globally.

  • Showcase the prowess of India’s manufacturing industry to the world, especially to our core markets in European Union and UK.

  • Organise events, webinars and other activities to provide opportunities for leaders from manufacturing industry to network, build connections and learn from one another.

India Manufacturing Summit 2017

July 18, 2017

India Manufacturing Summit was aimed to establish an understanding of major challenges and opportunities in manufacturing sector for companies in India. During the summit, a report titled ' Spotlight on Asian business' which looks at the contribution of Asian business to London was launched. The report was launched by Lord Swraj Paul (  Chairman, Caparo Group Ltd), Baroness Verma ( Former Energy & Climate Change Minister and former International Development Minister, United Kingdom ), Hon Virendra Sharma MP (Ealing Southall), Hon Bob Blackman MP (Harrow East), Mr.Vijay Goel , Chairman, Assocham UK/ Ex Chairman - London Chamber of Commerce Asian Business Association, Chi Onwurah Labour MP(Newcastle upon Tyne Central), Marion Fellows MP (Motherwell & Wishaw), Aditya Rathod (Executive Director - UAE Exchange) ,  Arbinder Chatwal ( Head of India Advisory services - BDO) & Sujit Nair FRSA ( Chair - Europe India Centre for Business & Industry )
