10th and 11th April 2019 

Europe India Business Leaders Conference 2019, the 23rd conference of our conference series, was held on 10th April and 11th April with discussions and interactions on 10th April at Flanders investment agency and European Parliament in Brussels followed by the industrial visit to Wallonia on 11th April.

On 10th April, the summit focused on the operational challenges faced by small scale businesses when they pursue their activities in India and the EU and speakers shared their expertise on the financial, legal, marketing and sales challenges faced by businesses while pursuing activities in the respective regions. About 19 speakers shared their expertise on the 1st day of the summit which was held at Flanders Investment Agency and European Parliament. About 100 organisations working in the areas of policy, technology, manufacturing, education, healthcare and other sectors attended the conference.

On 11th April, Indian delegates were taken to a place called Wallonia so as to get a firsthand experience of seeing EU companies in action and directly engaging in interactions with experts on the factory floor. 

​

During the session at the European Parliament, EICBI released its 2019 class of EuIndia40 - Top 40 under 40 EU India Leaders. EuIndia40, an initiative of EICBI to discover Top 40 under 40 EU-India Leaders, covers the stories of these young leaders and their contributions in promoting EU India relations. The 16 women and 24 men who made to the list come from all walks of life and represent 16 different nationalities - Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, India, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom. The list features young entrepreneurs, policy leaders, thought leaders, business executives, trade body leaders, all under the age of 40, who are going to play an important part in shaping European Union - India trade relations during the next few decades.

'UK Tamil Nadu Puducherry Business Meet' , the 17th business meet of business meet series, was held at Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London on 13th July 2017 so as to promote business activity and partnerships between UK companies and Indian companies, particular among those who have business activity in Tamil Nadu.The business meet attracted about 170 delegates including representatives from Tamil Nadu, Members of House of Commons, representatives from UK companies, Indian companies and other individuals/ organisations from across the world who are interested to pursue business in Tamil Nadu/ India/ UK and businessmen from India who are successful in UK. About 13 experts from UK and Tamil Nadu shared their experience with the delegates from a wide range of sectors and this helped to achieve the summit's aim of establishing an understanding of major business challenges and opportunities in UK and Tamil Nadu/ India and promoting exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences among current and future business and political leaders from UK and India/ Tamil Nadu

'UK India Karnataka Business Meet 2016' , the 16th business meet of business meet series, was held at Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London on 24th November 2016 so as to promote business activity and partnerships between UK companies and Indian companies, particular among those who have business activity in Karnataka.The business meet attracted about 100 delegates including representatives from Karnataka, Members of House of Commons, representatives from UK companies, Indian companies and other individuals/ organisations from across the world who are interested to pursue business in Karnataka/ India/ UK and businessmen from India who are successful in UK. About 18 experts from UK and Karnataka shared their experience with the delegates from a wide range of sectors and this helped to achieve the summit's aim of establishing an understanding of major business challenges and opportunities in UK and Karnataka/ India and promoting exchange of knowledge, ideas and experiences among current and future business and political leaders from UK and India/ Karnataka.

UK Tamil Nadu Puducherry Business Meet 2016 / UKTNCC Annual meet was held on 14th April 2016 ( Tamil New Year's day) at UK Parliament, Westminster, London so as to  showcase business opportunities between UK and Tamil Nadu/ Puducherry, a region in the South of India.  UK Tamil Nadu Puducherry Business Meet 2016 was the 14th meet of "business meet" series, which have been held at British Parliament, London over the last few years and these business meet have so far engaged around 2150 delegates  The business meet was chaired by British MP Hon Virendra Sharma MP and was  also attended by two other British MPs,  Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury - Seema Malhotra MP and Welsh MP Mr. Gerald Jones. The High Commission of India, London was represented by Mr. Ramaswamy Balaji, First Secretary [Consular] of Indian High Commission Office London.. A total of 10 speakers shared their expertise during the 3 hour meet which had about 160 delegates who had registered to attend the meet.

"UK Telangana Business Meet" was held at British Parliament, London on Thursday, 16th July so as to  showcase business opportunities between UK and Telangana, a state in the South of India. UK Telangana Business Meet was the 12th meet of "business meet" series, which have been held at British Parliament over the last few years and these business meet have so far engaged around 1830 delegates.  The meet was chaired by Mr Virendra Sharma MP and a total of 13 speakers shared their expertise during the 3 hour meet which had about 180 delegates who had registered to attend the meet. UK Karnataka Business Meet 2013 was organised at Houses of Parliament, Westminster, London, which was chaired by Mr Virendra Sharma MP with Chairman of Karnataka Legislative Council Mr.Shankaramurthy.D.H as the Chief Guest. Through this Business Meet we were able to provide insight into the opportunities in Karnataka and provoke further interest about ways to expand businesses in Karnataka.
